Wild garlic season is short and magical. This bright green pesto is my favourite way to celebrate it — and it takes less than 10 minutes to make.
Wild Garlic Pesto Pasta with Fresh Peas

300 g pasta (tagliatelle or spaghetti)
100 g wild garlic leaves
50 g parmesan
50 g toasted pine nuts or walnuts
150 ml olive oil
1 cup fresh or frozen peas
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt & pepper
Directions
- Cook pasta according to packet.
- Blend wild garlic, parmesan, nuts, oil and lemon juice into pesto.
- In the last 2 min of pasta cooking, add peas.
- Drain, toss with pesto and a splash of pasta water.
Notes
- Farm-to-Table Tip: Pick wild garlic only from clean areas (or buy at the market). It smells amazing!
